We are CALEX, the in-house brand of Electro Cirkel Retail B.V. and a proud supplier of light sources and smart home products in all shapes and sizes. Our products reach consumers across Europe through retail channels and online platforms.

Our head office and accompanying warehouses are located in Rotterdam. Additionally, we have our own office in China, near Shanghai, which supports us in communicating with various suppliers.

As an HR Officer Payroll, you are responsible for all HR-related tasks from A to Z. Each month, you ensure the accurate and timely salary payment for your colleagues. This includes tasks such as collecting changes, processing them, and applying knowledge of pensions, social legislation, and more.

You manage and master the AFAS HR environment and share responsibility for ensuring the availability, maintenance, and improvement of HR processes.

Additionally, you play an advisory and facilitating role within the organization to help secure the HR processes as effectively as possible.

Your tasks.

  • Management and maintenance of AFAS
  • Processing employment contracts, changes, special agreements, and arrangements
  • Monthly payroll administration
  • Responsible for recruiting personnel
  • Updating, structuring, and implementing HR policies and HR tools
  • Staying up to date with developments in HR and Payroll legislation and regulations and being able to apply and explain these to colleagues

What skills do we ask?

  • MBO+/HBO working and thinking level or a completed HBO degree in HRM
  • Available for 36–40 hours per week
  • 3–5 years of work experience in a similar role
  • Extensive experience with AFAS InSite and AFAS Profit
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Excellent command of both Dutch and English, both written and spoken
  • A proactive thinker, hands-on approach, and optimistic mindset
